2025 Creative Commissions:
Community health nonprofit Care Ring partnered with ArtPop to commission an installation sculpture that doubles as a way to thank the donors from their “Here We Grow: Building Healthy Futures” capital campaign. To bring this vision to life, ArtPop partnered with local artist Anna Dean.
Inspired by Care Ring’s massive impact through their work in the community, Anna designed an artwork that visualizes a ripple effect. Each donor’s name is etched into cast acrylic discs, which overlap at various depths. The finished piece was installed within Care Ring’s new community clinic, where you can also see Von Jetere’s mural project!
ArtPop partnered with United Way of Greater Charlotte to bring an art-filled activation to their event, The Longest Table. Held on September 27th, 2025, nearly 1,000 community members attended to share both a meal and their experiences - leading to new connections and friendships!
Through ArtPop’s Creative Commissions, local artist Natalie Robinson was commissioned to create an artwork highlighting United Way’s powerful impact across the Charlotte Region. Natalie’s artwork was displayed as a major focal point for celebration, connection, and photography! United Way invited ArtPop and Natalie to join the festivities and connect with their guests!
Local artist Michelle ‘Bunny’ Gregory was commissioned by The Relatives through ArtPop to design and paint this now centerpiece in their newly-renovated Snowy Peak House. This space is designed to be a safe, restorative space for youth in their programs. The vibrant and thoughtful mural is meant to inspire young people rebuilding their sense of safety and offer hope for a better future. We’re proud to have partnered again with The Relatives to connect a local artist with a meaningful opportunity.
Through ArtPop’s Artist Referral Service, local artist Junior Gomez was connected with the Carolina Panthers, who commissioned him to create an original artwork. The artwork Junior created was printed as a commemorative poster given away to every attendee of the October 5th, 2025 panthers game, and was also presented on the jumbotron!
In this continuation of ArtPop’s partnership with the Lowe’s Foundation, we commissioned local artist and Class of 2024 Alumni Jake Summerour to create 10 custom awards. These awards were distributed to the 10 nonprofit organizations awarded nearly $9 million through Lowes’ Foundation’s Gable Grants program, which strengthens growth of skilled trades workforce development.
In celebration of a decade of impact, our community partners Carolina Farm Trust hosted their first ever Carolina Farm Feast - an unforgettable farm-to-table dinner showcasing North and South Carolina food and art! Through ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects division, Carolina Farm Trust commissioned 20 local artists to create unique table runners to compliment each table, bringing a taste of local creativity to the experience!
This community-oriented printed mural by local artist Von Jeter was commissioned by Care Ring through ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects division to add warmth and local creativity to their new facility’s clinic waiting area!

2024 Creative Commissions:
Lowe’s Foundation has partnered with ArtPop's Inspiration Projects division for another custom awards commission! This latest project involved the creation of eleven commemorative awards to be given to the Community and Technical Colleges whose skilled trades workforce development programs are being supported through Lowe’s Foundation’s Gable Grants program. Two local artists were hired to make this dream a reality: creative catalyst Makayla Binter and multi-talented maker Craig Stevens, who crafted a set of miniature Lowe’s Vests painted and framed in the style of sports jersey memorabilia!
Through a very special Inspiration Projects partnership with both Harris Teeter & OLAY, ArtPop brought back artist Abel Jackson to restore his gorgeous mural back to its original beauty! This mural - which Abel titled 'Self Love' - is not only a beloved fixture in Charlotte's NODA neighborhood, but it was also the very first commission that launched ArtPop's Inspiration Projects division back in 2020!
ArtPop was contacted by the City of Charlotte to create a team building exercise for their Mayor’s Youth Employment Program where their team could have an artistic experience and learn more about one another. To bring this vision to life, ArtPop connected their team to Leigh B. Williams, local artist and Cities Program alum from both the Class of 2014 and 2023!
Location: 2336 Freedom Drive, Suite C Charlotte, NC 28208
Completed: August 2024
The Blue Cross NC team once again partnered with ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects division to support and showcase more local artists in their community-focused Charlotte Center! The result was the creation of The Local Artist Gallery, a space where Charlotte-area creatives can exhibit their work within this community-focused center. The inaugural exhibition in this space featured two artists from our Cities Program Class of 2024: Malaysha K. Belton and Lily Roman!
This unique project beautifully blends the environmental sustainability of our Upcycling Initiative with the custom commissions managed through our Inspiration Projects division! ArtPop was contacted by Charlotte-headquartered Crescent Communities, who wanted to creatively repurpose materials from retired light pole advertising banners. To tackle such a unique challenge, ArtPop commissioned local artist and upcycle designer Alex Lieberman!
In this partnership with Ascent Housing and the Housing Impact Fund, ArtPop and local artist Liz Haywood were tasked with beautifying a functional retaining wall at the entrance of Lake Mist Apartments. Drawing inspiration from the residential community’s input, the result was a vibrant 625 square foot mural that brings more warmth, color, and beauty into the community!
In this Inspiration Projects installation, our partners Haynes Boone were looking for local art to outfit their shiny new offices in Uptown Charlotte’s Legacy Union building! We were thrilled to manage this purchase & installation of 10 artworks by local artists - many of whom were previously featured in ArtPop’s Cities Program and/or past Inspiration Projects!
To enhance the guest experience in their Morrisville retail store, Rack Room Shoes partnered with ArtPop Inspiration Projects to commission an original artwork by a local artist, which would tell the story of the NC Triangle area. Acclaimed Greensboro-based muralist Raman Bhardwaj was hired to bring Rack Room’s vision to life by designing and painting a vibrant mural that acts a backdrop to the store’s checkout counter!
This mural was commissioned by Chernoff Newman to brighten the kitchen space in their uptown Charlotte office! ArtPop worked alongside Cities Program Class of 2024 artist Natalie Daratony to bring their creative vision to life in the form of a verdant, nature-inspired painted mural!
To further elevate their beautiful new educational facility in Uptown Charlotte, the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School commissioned ArtPop Inspiration Projects to manage the creation and installation of two unique artworks by local artists! ArtPop provided artist recommendations from its extensive network of local creatives, from which the client selected two Cities Program alum: Stella Pitre (Class of 2018) and Ian Wegener (Class of 2020).
In this Inspiration Projects partnership, the Lowe’s Foundation trusted ArtPop to manage the commission of original, custom-fabricated trophies for their Gable Grants program.

2023 Creative Commissions:
To assist Truist in refreshing their luxury suite at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte, we commissioned local muralist & sign-painter Amber Thompson to illustrate this spectacular mural artwork! Amber knocked it out of the park with her design, incorporating Truist’s signature brand elements and communicating their purpose to inspire better lives in and for the Charlotte community.
In this latest iteration of our Inspiration Projects partnership with Lowe’s Home Improvement in SouthEnd Charlotte, we worked with local artist Von Jeter, who beautifully illustrated scenes depicting many of the home improvement projects that are made possible through Lowe’s Tool Rental service!
Serving our community through local art is what ArtPop's mission is all about, and this Inspiration Projects mural delivers on that promise! Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC reached out to us with their idea for a community-based mural to brighten their brand-new West Charlotte Community Center. To bring their vision to life, we had the pleasure of working alongside Charlotte artist & designer Marcus Kiser, who led art students from West Charlotte High School in painting the mural based on his original design.
Local artist Cheeks was commissioned to create the ultimate photo backdrop for th Futbol Fiesta Fan Fest at Bank of America Stadium, ahead of the epic Mexico vs. Ghana match! As over 60,000 fans turned out in droves for the match, Harris Teeter, Proctor & Gamble, and ArtPop Street Gallery combined to create a fan experience celebrating “food, family y futbol!”
In ArtPop Street Gallery’s 50th Completed Inspiration Project, the SouthPark Association of Neighborhoods (SPAN) commissioned ArtPop and Cities Program Class of 2022 artist Laurie Smithwick to dream up a mural that would compliment the new half-acer park’s lush green space, while adding a touch of color and whimsy!

This stunning interior printed mural titled Intersect has found its home at the new office of our friends Next Stage Consulting! This beautiful mural depicts the power of collaboration and the intersection of social change. Local muralist Darion Fleming brought Next Stage's creative vision to life with his original illustration in this Inspiration Project.
For these two interior murals in Charlotte’s Northlake Mall, ArtPop worked with artist Natalie Daratony to connect art and community! Directly referencing the two primary communities that the mall serves (and its namesake), the Charlotte and Lake Norman murals were digitally designed by Natalie using her existing traditional paintings as a reference.
For this project, ArtPop was tasked with managing art murals for Bank of America’s employee game lounge within Founders Hall in Uptown Charlotte. As the lounge is a space for employees to rest and enjoy themselves, the artwork would need to be fun, uplifting, welcoming, and inclusive. ArtPop suggested 2022 Cities Program artist Edelweiss Vogal for this project, whose bright and energetic art style was a perfect match for this task! The artwork is displayed as printed vinyl murals occupying the lounge’s outer-facing windows and on a wall within the lounge itself.
ArtPop worked with Progressive AE to manage the purchase and installation of two artworks for ServisFirst Bank’s new office space. Located within Panorama Tower in Ballantyne Village, the office is now the permanent home of an original painting by 2023 Cities Program artist Emily Batson, and a canvas print by 2021 Cities Program artist Greg Barnes!
