Luko Marion - Upcycled Evening Gown

Modeled by Sie Snow
Billboard Artwork by
Aba Hutchinson
Featured in ArtPop’s 5th Annual Upcycled Fashion Show & Fundraiser

The medieval metallic flail vase is Luko’s inspiration from Aba Hutchinson, which guided his inspiration of this year’s creation. The oversized coat is a first look at the banner itself, and it camouflages the undergarment reveal of the pièce de resistance.

The chainmail look and bustier are all made from small buttons and metal rings connected one by one to straps and buttons.  Silver rings and buttons made from the banner give a flair of modern Medieval Mirage and create a one-of-a-kind armor for that Beauty of the Shadow, modeled here by Sie Snow.

Meet the Designer:

Originally from Montreal, Luko Marion is an extraordinary multidisciplinary artist. Personalities in the film, television, musical and artistic industry are seduced by his unique creations. His conceptual universe and ability to consistently innovate, his ingenuity in the reinvention of styles, fashion and materials, his audacity in the liberation of codes, taboos, mind and body have also earned him great media visibility and many distinctions.

Many people say Luko loves the color black so much that he owns it. Collection after collection, he presents many shades of black fabrics and textures with a hint of other well-balanced colors.
