Von Jeter - Mural for Care Ring Community Clinic
Completed: February 2025
Located at 1514 N. Graham St in Charlotte, NC.
This community-oriented printed mural by local artist Von Jeter was commissioned by Care Ring through ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects division to add warmth and local creativity to their new facility’s clinic waiting area!
Care Ring’s Vision For Community
Fellow nonprofit Care Ring are leaders in community health, and are known for meeting people where they are to ensure they are able to lead and maintain a healthy life. In response to the growing need for their mission and crucial services, Care Ring has moved to their new, larger facility within one of Charlotte’s Corridors of Opportunity. In the process of planning their move, Care Ring reached out to ArtPop to commission a mural for their clinic’s waiting area. Their vision was an artwork that would reflect their patients who would be greeted by it when visiting the clinic.
How Von Jeter Brought the Vision to Life
Designed by Von to reflect Care Ring’s mission, health equity, diversity, as well as a few special “easter eggs” related the organization’s deep community history, this vibrant piece creates a welcoming and comforting space. More than just a mural, it’s a conversation piece, a beacon of inclusivity, and a celebration of the community it serves!
Artist Impact Statement:
“The ask to create something that is diverse, inclusive, and uplifting for the community is an automatic “I’m in.” ArtPop Street Gallery has provided opportunities of that scope time and time again. Having a team/organization that pours into an artist from start to beyond completion is rare, and ArtPop is a GEM!”
