Jake Summerour - Awards for Lowe’s Foundation’s 2025 Gable Grants Nonprofit Recipients

Completed July 2025

In this continuation of ArtPop’s partnership with the Lowe’s Foundation, we commissioned local artist and Class of 2024 Alumni Jake Summerour to create 10 custom awards. These awards were distributed to the 10 nonprofit organizations awarded nearly $9 million through Lowes’ Foundation’s Gable Grants program, which strengthens growth of skilled trades workforce development.

The Creative Process

Jake embellished each of these miniature Lowe’s Vests by hand-painting imagery related to skilled trades, while also incorporating each awardee’s unique identity.

Grantees With Their Awards

Once the full set of awards were complete, the Lowe’s Foundation distributed them to their Gable Grants awardees across the United States:

Artist Impact Statement:

I was thrilled to be selected and am so happy with how these awards turned out. Each vest features its own unique details celebrating the work of the individual grant recipients and communities they serve, and all come together to create a really fun collection for the 2025 award year. I want to thank both ArtPop and Lowe’s for trusting me to bring this Inspiration Project to life.
