Darrell Anderson - Upcycled Male Jacket and Pant Combo
Modeled by Chris Washington
Billboard Artwork by Ann J. Travis
Featured in ArtPop’s 5th Annual Upcycled Fashion Show & Fundraiser
This look is a full set Darrell designed, featuring a corseted bodice, a dramatic duster coat, arm gauntlets, and a hat—all crafted from repurposed billboard vinyl—paired with flowing satin pants.
The inspiration came from the organic curves of tulip petals and that natural sense of movement—like a breeze rolling through a field of flowers. That’s why he chose satin for the pants: to bring in softness, contrast, and flow.
Modeled by Chris Washington, each piece can stand on its own or be worn together in different combinations. It’s all about versatility and making a bold statement.
This piece is about transformation—taking something industrial like vinyl and reimagining it into something soft, powerful, and full of life.
