Sarah Grace Simas - Upcycled Evening Gown

Featured in ArtPop’s 5th Annual Upcycled Fashion Show & Fundraiser

Sarah Grace’s 2025 Upcycled Fashion Show piece showcases a structured mini dress that combines hard and soft elements that’s modeled by Neely Mallik.

The dress is embellished with sparkling crystals and cascading metallic hardware along the bodice, adding edge and texture to the silhouette. A flowing chiffon underskirt provides contrast and movement, creating a striking balance of form and fluidity. The design is directly inspired by the original billboard artwork by Krystallin Loudermilk. Drawing from the billboard’s cool, dark tones, she crafted an edgier aesthetic with regal undertones.

Sarah Grace aims to pursue a career in reflecting sustainable high fashion after graduation, blending her love for couture construction with a deep commitment to ethical and innovative design practices.
