ArtPop Puts 20 Charlotte-region Artists on Exhibit in Times Square NYC
ArtPop is thrilled to have once again partnered with OUTFRONT Media for another year of our Cities Program artists being displayed in Times Square, New York City! During 2024, artworks by our Class of 2024 Artists were exhibited on massive digital displays in multiple locations throughout Times Square! We are so grateful to OUTFRONT Meida for this incredibly generous public media space donation, allowing Charlotte-area artists to be showcased on a national level to millions of people!
Major thanks to those who helped us document these displays throughout the year including photographer Yuki Tei, and class artists Lauren Gibson and Krystallin Loudermilk, who traveled up to NYC to experience and photograph their class’s artworks on display in Times Square!
New Years Eve 12/31/2024 (Multiple Displays)
As an special treat at the end of the 2024 program year, OUTFRONT ensured that the Class of 2024 would be prominently featured within Times Square during New Years Eve Celebrations! The twenty artists’ works were on full display on numerous screens as a an estimated 1 million people filled Times Square and an estimated 1 billion tuned in remotely to watch the ball drop!

Visiting Times Square
Wanting to see these magnificent art displays in-person, some artists from the Class of 2024 traveled up to NYC to see their work “on the big screen.” A little rain couldn’t stop the ArtPop team from also making a visit themselves!
